Lock Poker is one of the top sites on the Merge Gaming Network, which is open to players from the United States and has seen tremendous growth in 2010.  The site offers a full slate of sit and gos and tournaments and caters to cash game players who want to play Texas Hold’em, Omaha, HORSE, Badugi, and Five Card Draw.

On December 1st, Lock Poker announced a new feature that has the poker world buzzing.  The site launched a new “Player Dashboard” that integrates statistics from Sharkscope.  Players can now view their own stats, search for opponents’ stats, shop at the Lock Poker Store, and more within the new secure dashboard application.  This represents the first time that an online poker room has developed a tool such as this one.

"One of our mandates as a company is to provide a superior online poker experience," said Jennifer Larson, CEO of Lock Poker. "We are determined to take this industry by storm and innovate in every possible way we can. The player comes first at Lock and that will always drive our business development."

Sharkscope is a tracking site that watches online poker sites and boasts a database of nearly a half-billion tournaments.  The accuracy and efficiency of the reports from Sharkscope make it an industry leader thanks to the site’s ability to process virtually every online poker tournament on every site within minutes of it being completed.  It’s believed that Sharkscope is used by well over 20% of all online tournament poker players.

Lock Poker was launched over two years ago and recently launched its own casino.  For the poker side of the business, the site has signed pros like Eric “Rizen” Lynch and Brett “Gank” Jungblut.  Other names in the Lock Poker stable include Joe “Conno86” Connolly, Lee Childs, and David Zeitlin.  The site offers 24/7 live customer support through a live chat window and e-mail.

There are plenty of promotions taking place at Lock Poker right now.  The first is the $50,000 Guarantee, which takes place every Sunday.  Another very popular promotion is “Mission: Downunder,” which will send players to the Aussie Millions in Australia.  For two months, there will be rake chases with up to 36 cash prizes being awarded totaling over $40,000.  If you place in the top position in the rake race for the month, you’ll win a seat to the Aussie Millions, $2,500 in cash, and some Lock Poker swag.

Players new to Lock Poker can take advantage of the site’s Welcome Bonus, a 100% match of your first deposit up to $600.  You can redeem this just once and a player needs to earn 75 VIP Points for each $1 of bonus in order to clear it.  The bonus is then paid out in increments of $5.

Sharkscope, now integrated with Lock Poker, handles poker tournament results on sites like PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker, PartyPoker, the iPoker Network, CEREUS, and the Merge Gaming Network.  Sharkscope also covers live events with a complete database of World Poker Tour tournaments.  Players get five free searches per day from the Sharkscope website.  When you enter a player’s name, you’ll be able to view their games played, average profit, average stake, average ROI, total profit, form, ability, and network information.
